Week 5 Learnings of Human Resource

I really enjoyed doing my interviews for assignment one this week.  I was able to interview two men that were very knowledgeable in their industry:  Combat Sports Training.  These two men run prestigious training centers in Las Vegas and Orem.

Simpson Go has recently taken over Cobra Kai in Las Vegas and has quite the grappling resume.
Both of the gentlemen that I was able to interview were phenomenal athletes and more than willing to allow me to question them about many human resource procedures that they do within their facilities.

One thing that was very interesting to me was how they have both strived to hire from within the business to support customer loyalty and hope for people that really buy-in to what they have to teach.
I really enjoyed hearing how they've used many social networking sites to hire, and do sales.  Nowadays, with the social media the way that it is, you can pretty much contact anybody on the web.
Phonebooks, newspapers, and other paper-based products are becoming less used by the younger generations.  Many marketing and sales are done paperless online and have found to be very efficient.

Overall I was able to learn how these two gentlemen were able to sell the vision of the company to their newly-hired employees so that they could buy-in to the direction of the business and have part in that success.  I really enjoyed listening to their personal stories of how employees felt part of the vision when their opinions and thought really were heard and mattered to the company.  "As we show that we are investing in the employees, they'll invest back into the company."  commented, Simpson.
I couldn't agree more with what Simpson said.

I know that bringing the right people on board is probably the most important above all.  You cannot build a huge company upon a rocky foundation.  The foundation of the people must be solid and withstand the storms of time.
